Using keyboard short cuts can greatly reduce the repetitive strain,

Key Board
Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert
Both are used to copy the text that is highlighted.
Ctrl+X
This can be used to cut the highlighted text instead of
copying.
Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert
