Steps to increase laptop battery back up time.
Step 1: Click on the Start Menu or Windows key,type CMD or COMMAND in the search bar.
Step 2: Search will start and it will then display an icon of CMD or Command Prompt . Simply Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
Step 3:Now it will open a command window. Type powercfg -energy and press Enter.
In windows 8 powercfg/enrgy
Once you successfully execute this command. You will get full report of scanning information in a hTML file. It commonly stores in System32 folder.

Some of the basic tips to increase battery backup
- Disable your laptop's bluetooth if not in use.
- Eject or remove external devices like Pendrive/External Hard Disc/DVD/Mobile devices etc.
- Reduce screen brightness. It will consume a lot of energy of the battery.
- Run Application that don't eat much RAM
- Turn of your Wi-Fi if it is not using.
- Make sure that your laptop's temperature remains low.
- Don't use your laptop while charging. When it fully charges remove the power cord.
