Ambient,Wireless charging as omnipresent as Wi-Fi? It is happening.
We use Wi-Fi to connect the internet. But recently the researchers has developed a Wi-Fi based technology to recharge your devices. We have seen wireless charging in many High end smart phones. But the technology is at implementing stage. This technology requires the device to be keep very near to the emitter ( One or Tow inches). Even it doesn't have high enough to power anything indefinitely.
Our doesn't have power to recharge itself. Battery is the greatest weakness to the mobile devices.
Battery technology hasn't changed much in a last decade. Owing to this problem Google and other mobile manufacturing companies are investing huge money for figuring out how to make batteries last longer.
But what if you did not need a more powerful battery? And what if there were a way to charge your mobile phone,no matter where you were, without having to plug it in? But we have Wi-Fi signals almost every where,Scientists asked themselves why didn't we use these signals to charge a mobile device.
You can roam around your room holding your phone, and the wireless charging system supplies power to your device without noting you ever. This can be done with using ultrasound . A charging system that converts usable electricity into ultrasound waves. Which the system transmits through out the room or some area around it. In this process a small receiver is attached to the mobile phone's case. This case catches ultrasound waves and converts them into battery power. No power cords and other hardware needed. Imagine the possibilities, college that charges your mobile phone and other gadgets.
