What is Internet?

 The Network formed by the Co-operative interconnection of a large number of Computer Networks.

• No one owns the internet.
•  Network of Networks.
• Internet is collection of networks

            

 There is no Central administration to the internet.
Every person who makes a connection owns a slice of the internet. Suppose you have made an internet connection with your local ISP(Internet Service Provider)

• That can be reached from those networks
• A set up to facilitate Collaboration is required

• Among members of the research and educational Communities,world-wide.

 The connected network use the TCP/IP(Transfer Control Protocol/Internet  Protocol.
