Phonetics

Phonetics The study of speech sounds how they are produced is called phonetics. Pronunciation The way in which a language or a particular words are sound is pronounced. Vowel (va-will) A speech sound in which the mouth is opened and the tongue is not touching the top of the mouth, the teeth etc.          When vowels are produced the air comes and freely through the mouth. Consonant A speech sound made by completely or partly stopping the flow of air being breathed-out through the mouth.       When consonants are produced the air escaped through the mouth with friction, but all consonants are not produced with friction. In English language there is no correspondence between the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they represent.     One letter represents more than one sounds and one sound is represented by more than one letter. The sound of English Vowels: There are twenty (20 ) distinct vowels in Britis...

What is an Embedded system?

Embedded system An embedded system is a combines electrical, chemical, mechanical, and light components along with a computer, that is hidden inside,to perform a single dedicated purpose. There are more computers and mobiles in the world than human being. And most of these devices built by single-chip micro controllers. A micro controller is the brain of an embedded system. Embedded systems are a very common  component of our everyday lives. We interact with tiny of embedded systems every day lives,in houses,car,toys,etc..

What is an Operating system?

It is like a mediator between computer hardware and computer user.Computer cannot understand high-level language like English. It can understand only digital data that is 0's and 1's. Also called as Binary language. When you type something from your I/O devices it can convert it into binary form.Operating system converts these instructions into machine readable form. One can't communicate with computer directly without operating system. Simply it is said that "Interface between computer and User". examples: Windows Linux Macintosh ( simply Mac)  Then coming to mobile OS we have Android ( Google ) IOS ( Apple ) J2MEE ( Java based ) Tizen ( Recently Samsung launched ). Windows is the famous operating system,90% of the PCs Has been running with Windows. It was created by Microsoft. It is a GUI ( Graphical User Interface ) based system. It is not an open-source OS. We need to pay some amount money for this OS.  Examples are: MS-DOS (Microsoft D...

Basic Electronic Elements

Resistors Capacitors Inductors (Coils) Transformer Transducers Transistors ICs (Integrated Circuits) Diodes These are the main components we often use in Electronics. 1. Resistor Here the name Resistor suggests that it opposes something.A element which opposes the electrical friction or electric current( flow of electrons ) is called as Resistor. Here I have shown the image of a resistor. Resistors with various sizes  Assume a water flowing pipe.Water flows with a pressure inside a pipe. We can control the flow of water with a valve. Here the valve behaves like a resistor. When the valve presents then flow of the water reduces. Water flow analogy 'ohm' is the unit for resistance. examples: Milli ohm, micro ohm, mega ohm, etc. Depending on our requirement we use various sizes. Resistor symbol: Resistor schematic symbol When we arrange two or more resistors in a series then the total resistance will be increased. In series model the voltage wi...
